Tara Bottino, DPT
Physical Therapist for Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City
Tara Bottino is currently a Physical Therapist at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ, treating patients with neurological diagnoses, cardiopulmonary diagnoses, and trauma. Tara received her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Drexel University in April of 2019. Prior to pursuing physical therapy, Tara graduated with a BA in Dance from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Tara has always had a passion for movement whether through dance or medicine. She recently obtained her certification in LSVT BIG treatment for patients with Parkinson’s disease. Tara is currently working with her coworkers to initiate an outpatient program for LSVT BIG at the Atlanticare City Campus. She is excited and honored to share evidence-based information about the treatment of chronic disease.
Exercise and Parkinson's Disease

This is a workshop discussing evidence-based treatment options for patients with chronic disease with a focus on Parkinson’s disease. The course will cover an overview of Parkinson’s symptoms, LSVT BIG Treatment, and strategies to utilize in personal training to maximize functional capacity and slow disease progression. The course will be partially interactive with demonstrations of exercises to incorporate into personal training sessions. These exercises will be evidence-based with a focus on improving balance, strength, and activities of daily living. The course will also discuss how to incorporate principles of LSVT BIG during exercise in order to maximize each exercise session.
